Well seems that the EPA in record time, particularly for a gvt entity responded to widespread criticism and grass roots activism to shut down the ban on lead based ammunition. The context of how they claimed they would not regulate this was laughable, as if they were the reasonable ones in this. It strikes me as an answer they already may have had lined up to begin with, they were just allowing someone to test the waters for them.
Though I find it particularly funny this happened in the midst of the democrats looking very out of favor in the spectrum of this political cycle, a total reversal on 08 and 06. Seems that everything they said was wrong was fine and every fix they have had for something has totally pissed people off. Myself included I'll admit.
Sadly the Republicans are to blame for this cycle period, most of them having participated with also ineffective policy's. It would be nice to see them actually come up with some sort of time line of what they are going to actually do, or repeal or rebuild.
Healthcare bill is a good place to start. Yep. Shit's expensive as hell, and so is Insurance. How about you guys cobble together some reform on the industry and how you guys have set up state monopolies on the insurance?
Why the hell cant I buy a policy from another state that may be cheaper, or why cant my possible employer? Gvt run health care may be great for some people some of the time but if its anything like the VA's system in place now it is a paperwork nightmare and a upcoming disaster.
While I'm a Libertarian at heart I tend to side with the Republicans due to the lesser of evils. Sadly however in 08 I just could not pull the handle for McCain/Palin. Palin perhaps as the primary candidate sure. Though I have various things that I don't like about her, starting with she is a Republican girl herself though and though.
People, the media, and on both sides of the Demo/Rep issue just don't seem to get it. They don't want a third party opening up, because that becomes a two front war each has to fight. The Media's and the democratic political elite sliming the Tea Party is something else to behold as well. They think that by shaming or cries of racism, ignorance and bigotry will shut it down. It is having the opposite effect as all those sources of information, and political power are ignored. Sadly people in general the world over don't bother looking for other information on these rallies than what the MSM has to say.
What is wanted that is ignored by both sides of the elite political fence? And by the MSM?
Representatives that listen to what their constituents want, not to have a Representative tell them "whats good for them and the country" Its our country. Don't tell us what we want. Stop pissing away Trillions of dollars on bail outs, stimulus packages, then look confused when they fail, blame the businesses, then the banks for not lending, then the old stand by, blaming the second Bush. Its a lame excuse when everything you do seems to have a direct worsening in employment, spending and the deficit, Oh Well I inherited this mess. I'm trying.
Guess what, you knew going in to the election for the jobs, you dickweeds what you were walking in to, and if you dident your just plain stupid beyond comprehension. You wanted this mess. You said you had the answers. Except they still haven't listened to what people want.
That's why people are pissed. The only thing growing is the GVT.
And the GVT stopped listening a long time ago.
I am watching the candidates in my area closely. I look at both sides or all people running and vote not along party lines, but who the best candidate for the job is. However it seems that this cycle its going to be more Republican leanings, if not outright completely across the board for who I'm voting for. However I do say this: If the changes that need to happen don't when/if the Republicans take office I'll never vote for one again, and I have a feeling that people in general will not either. If that happens, people will do one of two things. Swing back to the democrats who hope every ones stupid and short sighted enough to not remember this current mess having their prints all over it.. Or a third party or a vast amount of independents are going to spring up.
